LVL FAQs
Common Questions About Our LVL Products

1. Product & Technical FAQ

What is LVL and how is it made?

LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) is an engineered wood product. It is produced by peeling thin veneers from logs, applying a specialized adhesive, and hot-pressing the veneers in a single direction. This manufacturing method gives LVL higher strength, dimensional stability, and consistency compared to solid sawn timber.

We mainly use softwood and hardwood species such as Styrax, Pine, Acacia. These species are lightweight, bright in color, and suitable for packing, industrial, and furniture applications.

We offer thickness options ranging from 10mm to 90mm. Width and length can be customized based on the application (packing, pallet, industrial structures, or furniture components). Special long lengths and cut-to-size formats are also available upon request.

Our standard moisture content ranges from 10% to 18% depending on the final application. Lower MC options are available for furniture grade requirements to reduce warping and improve bonding performance in downstream processing.

Yes. We support custom dimensions, veneer thickness, glue type (e.g., MR, WBP), surface sanding, packaging format, and palletizing for container optimization. We also work with buyers on specific application-driven requirements.

2. Order & Pricing FAQ

What is your MOQ?

Our MOQ varies depending on the product line and destination market. For standard packing grade LVL, MOQ typically starts from one 40HQ container. Mixed specifications can be arranged within the same container depending on sizes and volume ratio.

Yes. Samples are available for evaluation and testing purposes. Small-size samples are usually free; however, freight cost may be charged depending on destination. For large-size or custom samples, a cost may be applied which can be refunded after order confirmation.

You may request a quotation by sharing your specifications, expected volume, destination port, and intended application. Based on these inputs, our team will prepare a detailed commercial offer including pricing, lead time, and available trade terms.

Pricing depends on several factors, including:
• wood species
• veneer grade ( A; AB; ABC)
• final thickness and dimensions
• grade/application (packing, industrial, furniture)
• glue type (MR, WBP, etc.)
• surface finish (raw/sanded)
• order volume
• destination logistics cost
Final pricing will be provided after specifications and volume are confirmed.

Lead time usually ranges from 20 to 35 days depending on production load, product type, and volume. Longer lead times may apply for custom specifications or during peak seasons. We will confirm the production schedule upon order placement.

Yes. We offer both OEM and ODM support. We can produce according to buyer specifications or collaborate on application-based product development, including packaging optimization and loading efficiency for container shipments.

3. Shipping & Logistics FAQ

Which ports do you ship from?

We mainly ship from Hai Phong Port in Northern Vietnam. Other ports may be arranged depending on buyer requirements and logistics feasibility. Our products are containerized and suitable for both 20GP and 40HQ loading configurations.

Products are palletized for container loading. Each pallet is strapped during transit. Custom packaging, fumigation, or marking requirements can be arranged for specific markets.

We support common Incoterms including CNF, CIF for most destinations. Additional terms can be discussed depending on the buyer’s logistics preference and final destination.

We provide full export documentation including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, and Fumigation Certificate when required. Additional documents for specific markets can be arranged upon request.

Transit time varies by destination. As a general reference:
• Southeast Asia: 7–15 days
• South Asia: 10–18 days
• Middle East: 15–25 days
• Europe: 28–40 days
• North America: 28–45 days
Final schedules depend on carrier, route, and seasonal conditions.

4. Payment & Trade Terms

What payment terms do you support? (T/T, L/C, etc.)

We support common international payment methods such as T/T and L/C at sight. For regular orders, T/T with deposit is the most widely used method due to processing efficiency and faster shipment release. Other terms may be discussed depending on buyer profile and market conditions.

Yes. For T/T payment, a deposit is typically required upon order confirmation to secure raw materials and production scheduling. The remaining balance is paid against shipping documents. Deposit rates may vary depending on product specifications and volume.

We primarily transact in USD, which is standard in the LVL export market. Other currencies may be considered depending on market and bank handling availability.

5. After-Sales & Quality Assurance

Do you allow third-party inspection?

Yes. Third-party inspections such as SGS, BV, or buyer-appointed inspectors are welcome before shipment. We also provide internal QC reports, dimension checks, moisture readings, and container loading photos to ensure transparency.

For any quality concerns, buyers are encouraged to share documentation such as photos, videos, or inspection reports within a reasonable timeframe upon receipt of goods. Our technical and QC teams will assess the case and propose a suitable solution based on the findings and contractual specifications.

Our compensation approach depends on the nature and scope of the issue. Typical solutions may include product replacement, credit note, or partial compensation for the affected portion. Our policy is oriented toward long-term cooperation and mutually beneficial resolution.
